| Some excerpts from the letter.... "My companions and I really appreciated the care package you sent us while we were deployed to the Middle East. We wanted to send you a little something to show our gratitude. Within the envelope you will find a certificate of appreciation and a couple of pages of pictures from Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait. A few of these pictures contains photos of a few of the people that your care package helped to support. It was truly a noble act that we felt needed to be rewarded in a unique manner." "We returned at the end of major hostilities during the middle of May. I am the medical planner for the 82nd Airborne Division, which is located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. My office is in charge of coordinating all the medical treatment, assets and personnel within the division to ensure that all soldiers within the division get proper medical care as quickly as possible. We ensure that all doctors, nurses, dentists, optometrists, medics, and other medical personnel have all the equipment they need in order to better care for injured soldiers. We were very lucky throughout the major conflict we did not lose a single soldier." "I hope that you continue your philanthropic ventures to those who are still deployed. Words cannot describe the happiness your care packages bring not only to the particular soldier, but also to those soldiers in the immediate area. Everything is shared with the person next to you." |
