| This page was created to say THANK YOU. They seem like such simple words, but we hope you know we mean them from the bottom of our hearts. Whether your donation has been actual items, a monetary donation or maybe just your thoughts and prayers, on behalf of our brave military we want you to know how much your support is appreciated. We could not do this Campaign without YOU! When we started our Campaign in March of 2003, we tried our best to keep our "Thank You Pages" updated here on the website, as well as mailing out a thank you through the mail. We took pictures of everything donated and tried to post them, along with posting names of monetary donations as well. As we've continued to grow it's gotten to the point we feel we can no longer continue to do that. We were up to 30 large pages of "thank you's" on the website which all contained many photos and we were several months behind in getting them updated. We truly wanted to honor every donation, no matter how large or small by putting them up the website, but with the number of donations coming in weekly either through drives at schools, churches, businesses, clubs, etc, as well as monetary donations, projects and fundraisers, magnet sales and other types of donations to our Campaign, it has gotten to the point that we just can't possibly continue to keep paying to add webspace and spending hours on the pages uploading all the photos, etc. to get them up on the site. We truly hope you will understand, with it being our family operation (mainly myself and my mother) who run everything, we are working around the clock just to keep up with the requests and needs pouring in from deployed military as well as adding many new names to the database daily. We are trying to juggle the Holiday projects on top of our normal care packages going out, keeping up the magnet sales (which has become a full-time "job"), running our headquarters, doing bookwork, picking up drives and items collected at places, speaking engagements, etc. What started out as a few hour a day volunteer operation has turned into a 24-7 volunteer effort, which we are so very proud we have grown to this point, but we are finding there just isn't enough hours in the day. Getting the care packages out is top priority in our Campaign and we are trying to make some adjustments in time spent, so we can see it is the most beneficial to our deployed military. Once again, THANK YOU....for the wonderful work for "SI Yellow Ribbon" going on from East to West Coast for our care packages! Keep up the great work out there, your support means SO much to us and "our" military, we cannot do what "we" do without you!!!! ~Amy & Kathy |
