Illinois Lieutenant Governor Pat Quinn Honors "SI Yellow Ribbon"

"SI Yellow Ribbon" was very surprised and honored to find out that Illinois Lieutenant Governor Pat Quinn wanted to fly down to Harrisburg, Illinois to the headquarters to honor the family for their volunteer work for the soldiers.

Lieutenant Governor Pat Quinn with the "SI Yellow Ribbon" family - Callie Oxford, SPC (now SGT) Jamal Oxford, Amy Oxford & Kathy Williams
Lieutenant Governor Pat Quinn made a speech for the press and then presented the co-coordinators Amy Oxford and Kathy Williams each with a Declaration on behalf of the state of Illinois, honoring their work and commitment to the Campaign.  Also, Lt. Governor Quinn reached into his own wallet and made a personal contribution towards the postage costs.

After taking a tour of the headquarters the group posed for a photo for the newspaper and TV media that was present to tape the visit.
The Lt. Governor enjoyed talking to some of the families that were present, along with photos of their loved ones serving overseas.
Debbie Younger Frank has son SGT Jason Ingold in the Middle East.
Dorraine Biers has granddaughter SPC Stephanie Oxtrow serving in the Middle East.  She is holding Stephanie's daughter, Alexandria.
Robin Krummrich has son PFC Buddy Krummrich currently in the Middle East.
Theresa Gribble has son PFC Darren Gribble currently in the Middle East.
